Olympic Torch Relay

Postby Gary1970 » Tue Jul 17, 2012 8:19 am

Hi

Do you have the Olympic Torch passing nearby in Ferndale? It's arriving here in Dover tomorrow evening for a run round the town and up to the castle before finshing on the seafront. We have a short appearance from "Rizzle Kicks" and "Twist and Pulse" and a few local groups are performing songs and dances.

Apparently our council are spending about £360,000 on the event. Apart from a few road improvements and some touch ups I don't think there'll be much to show for it on Thursday... Well, maybe litter.

OK, so it rained.

But what happened to the LITTER??? :?:

did you end up with a $360,000 ball of papier mache?? :o

Who cleaned it up??

Maybe you could fill the holes in the road with it.

Just a thought :D
