My word Roger you were a busy lad 'back then'. I don't recall all of your haunts but I do remember dancing on a Saturday in Ferndale hall. Then there was the Cymer club and the Library in Tonypandy (or was it Treorchy!) and later on to Hopkinstown club on a Saturday. Great days!

Wasn't it "Judges" in Tonypandy? Never went myself.
Saturday for me was film night. All the lads reading the "Pink" before the B film started.

Library in Tonypandy, and Hopkinstown (above a club) are memories from the past - good nights in both places. I suppose I am going to be the only one that will admit to walking home from both places?

I would have put money on the Library being in Tonypandy as I seem to recall going in the pub on the main square (if you can call it that) before going in there. Still old age may be getting the better of me!

Back to the dancing in Blaen...I asked Ann Cavacuiti and she says:-
It was across from Blaen Infants, and we called it the Mission, and yes it was a big green shed made out of corrugated steel, happy days. I don't know what it's used for these days. The steps ran down the side of the infant school's wall and then there was a path to take you across to the mission itself. If you remember there used to be two sessions on a Thursday, the younger kids from about 5 until 8 pm, and then the older ones from about 8 until 11.

So I think the "Little Chapel" can stay as the "Little Chapel" The Mission is the place for dancing.

Thanks, Roger, glad to know my brain hasn't packed up totally............yet! There was a John Cavacuiti in my year at FGS, and in the recesses of that brain, some-one told me he worked as a cameraman for BBC??????
