If she's not a Bertorelli, she could be Sonia - known as Sunny - Wilkinson whose parents had a grocers on the Strand next door to the fish and chip shop towards lake St. She had an older sister Bonita, called Bonny, and they emigrated to New Zealand in the late 1950's I think.
Now, I've just looked back at the Lower school photo of 5W ( from John Pitt or Roger Wood) and I think it was me who gave her name on this photo as Sonia Laurie! The trouble is, I can't remember now which is her correct name - Laurie or Wilkinson? Anybody out there know?

I thought I put the name forward for Sonia on the 5w photo - anyway, I can confirm that her name was Sonia Laurie. It is also definitely her on the 1954 photo Miss Williams took this class right through to entrance exams.

but

I've got the originals of these photos, and the 1953 photo appears to have a different girl here

Hi all,
The 1953 and 54 photos look like they could be about Std 1 and Std 2 years.
I did my entrance in 1954 and started in Porth County in the Sept 54.
I recognize Tony Gazzi in the second row, second from the left near the Headmaster.
So, it is definitely not Julia Bertorelli.
Also in one of the photos, isn't that Mair Caradog second from the right, front row?
Gary

Sorry, site doesn't seem to allow use of HTML im posts, probably for security reasons. I'll look into it some more to see what we might do.

They don't seem to include any table tags as part of standard BBcode though. There are implementations which have them, but it's a customization rather than standard functionality. Still looking though, but can't make any promises.
